The Smooth Collie Club of GB held their championship show on Saturday 12th September where Jenny Miller (Feorlig) drew an entry of 37 Smooth Collies of which 7 were absent leaving 16 dogs & 14 bitches competing.
Trevor & Birgit Hayward & Claire Norman’s Ch Wynele Double Trouble at Foxearth won the Dog CC & BOB (by Ch Wynele Indian Ink x Ch Foxearth Fudge Wynele) and the RCC went to Heidi Thomas & Abby Lusty’s Blamorder Side Hustle with Mournebrake JW (by Ch Blamorder Audacity x Ch Blamorder The Hustler).
Marianne Benton’s Ch Blamorder Double or Quits of Oakestelle JW won the Bitch CC & RBOB (by Ch Blamorder Audacity x Ch Blamorder The Hustler) and the RCC went to Andrea Richardson’s Lizoni Va Va Voom (by Blamorder Bring Him Home x Koczkodan Sweet Dreams of Lizoni).
Jayne Llewellyn & Abby Lusty’s Blamorder Sunny Side Up won Best Puppy (by Coldelee Jupiter Rises with Blamorder JW x Blamorder Dare To Dream) and Lorraine Eke’s Ch Foxearth Flag Day won Best Veteran (by Ch Foxearth Frappuccino x Ch Kiiramanna She Makes My Day at Foxearth).
The “In show” judge was Ann French (Breckamore) who cancelled on the day. The replacement judge was Bev White (Maneric) who awarded RBIS & BOSIS to Double Trouble and BVIS to Flag Day – well done!!
Yorkshire Collie held their championship show on Sunday 6th September where Stef Flower (Serenlas) drew an entry of 14 Smooth Collies without CCs of which 5 were absent leaving 1 dog & 8 bitches competing.
Michael & Rebecca Wensley’s Ch \/ Int & Multi Ch Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW won Best Dog & RBOB (by Blamorder Bring Him Home x Blamorder Marvellousness with Constella).
Tracey & Dave Holmes & Abby Lusty’s Ch Blamorder Makers Mark JW won Best Bitch & BOB (by Ch \/ Am & Can Grand Ch Cardross Red Dirt Road to Blamorder x McClelland Rule The World with Blamorder) and Michael & Rebecca Wensley’s Blamorder Starstruck by Versatilis was RBOB (by Ch\/Int\/Multi Ch Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW x Blamorder Eva Peron).
Kirsty Russell & Andrea Richardson’s Blamorder Striking Steel via Koczkodan won Best Baby Puppy (by Manordeifi Hijacked by Blamorder x Ch Blamorder The Hustler) and Marianne Benton’s Ch Oakestelle Artemis ShCEx VW won Best Veteran (by Juniperwood King Of Kings x Ch Oakestelle Venus De Milo VW ShCEx).
Brian Hawkins (Beldones) judged the “in show” awards with Makers Mark winning RBIS, Artemis BVIS & Striking Steel Best Baby Puppy in Show – well done!
Also on Sunday the 6th September West of England Collie held their open show where Mrs P Jameson drew an entry of 13 Smooth Collies with 5 absent leaving 3 dogs & 5 bitches competing. I am sure having two breed club shows on the same day must affect the entries of both.
Jo & Richard Denton’s Coldelee Take It To The Limit won Best Dog & BOB (by Wynele Strike One x Coldelee Eternal Sunshine) and Charlotte Rodgers’ Blamorder Mischief Maker with Jerdoni was Res Best Dog (by Ch \/ Am & Can Grand Ch Cardross Red Dirt Road to Blamorder VW x McClelland Rule The World with Blamorder).
Sheila Beeney’s Ch Coneypark Golden Brown won Best Bitch, RBOB & Best Veteran (by Ch Brackenhaye Fields Of Gold x Ryecombe Jolly Jonquil at Coneypark) and Jordan Rundle’s Shulune Imperial Bonny Blu was Res Best Bitch (by Ch \/ Multi Ch Winter is Coming To Tentola x Shulune Imperial Seduce Me).
The “in show” awards were judged by Ros MacDonald (Rossavon) who awarded BIS to Take It To The Limit & BVIS to Golden Brown – well done!
West Bromwich & Wednesbury held their open show on Sunday 13th September where Monet Rennison (Zaniah) drew an entry of 5 Smooth Collies, all present.
Katy Warren & Abby Lusty’s Coldelee Jupiter Rises with Blamorder JW won BOB (by Ch Brackenhaye Fields of Gold x Ch Blamorder Sunny Sky) and Lee & Elise Seager’s Blamorder Magic Maker with Freejack JW was RBOB (by Ch \/ Am & Can Grand Ch Cardross Red Dirt Road to Blamorder x McClelland Rule The World with Blamorder).
Jupiter Rises went on to win Pastoral Group 4 judged by Shelley Skinner (Nikal) – well done!
At Kington Agri Open show on Saturday 12 September Michael Wensley (Versatilis) drew an entry of 5 Smooth Collies with 3 absent.
Lou Watkins’ Blamorder Unlucky for Some won BOB (by Ch Blamorder Audacity x Ch Blamorder The Hustler) and Thea Palmer & Brenda Trundley’s Toonian Tall Tale to Blamorder was RBOB (by Juniperwood Kinda Smart x Toonian Summer Song).
Unlucky for Some went on to win the Pastoral Group judged by Sarah Louise Hemstock – well done!!
At Exeter & County Open on Saturday 12th September Tracey Anscombe drew an entry of 2 Smooth Collies with 1 absent. Philippa Batten’s Koczkodan In My Dreams with Quedeekae won BOB (by Koczkodan Heart of Gold x Lizoni Va Va Voom).
At Rhyl Open show on Saturday 5th September Louise Bermingham (Bamcwt) drew an entry of 2 Smooth Collies with 1 absent. Linda Young’s Wynele Ace Of Spades won BOB (by Ch Wynele Indian Ink x Ch Foxearth Fudge Wynele).
