I was sorry to hear that Julie Swann (Swanndale) has passed away. Julie was well known for her Lancashire Heelers, but has also owned & shown Smooth Collies. Her 1st was Plaisance George Le Beau at Swanndale born in 2010 and her latest was Breckamore Bobby Dazzler at Swanndale who is just 15 months old (co-owned with Ann French). Julie also judged Smooth Collies at open show level including the Collie Assoc Open Show in 2019.
A tribute to Julie can be found in last week’s Heeler breed notes.
Correction to my last notes (17th April issue) – East Anglian Collie Open show 2 where I stated that Janine Hanson judged the breeds & BIS but BIS was actually judged by Marion Withers (Stanydale) – apologies for the error.
